This will not pass all the tests in the install tool, because there is a 
problem with some functions with GM on Windows.
Issue 13750 is about this and there is a patch in the core list (version 
3) (if you want it and cannot find it I can send it to you by e-mail) 
which makes it work correctly with GM on Windows, but shows flaws in 
other functions while running IM on Linux with safe_mode on.

Unfortunately there is no solution which works in both cases yet, but 
this is one issue which I like to fix for TYPO3 version 4.5.
