[TYPO3-english] Timestamp and author of element automatically on web page

Hi there,

I have been googling around for more than an hour, I did not find what I am
looking for. Nevertheless, it seems so trivial, so please forgive the
Typo3-newbie ;)

I run a news page on a web site. The page contents are ... well... elements,
mainly text. All I want is to show the authoring date (or last change) and
the author of the element right below its title.

All pointers are highly appreciated!
