I can beat that. When I found out that there was something wrong, I
already had more than 1.5 million files. ;)

Could it be that this also affects caches? My cache_pages table was 10G
recently.

I've now got rid of *MENU_LAYERS and use cerebrum_fsmenu instead. :)
So, hopefully, everything will be fine now. :)
