[TYPO3-english] locallang_db.xml and FE

I have both. 
I guess it is something silly, but it does NOT work for
locallang_db.xml, which is within the root folder of my ext, although
everything works fine for locallang.xml, which is within the pi1 folder.

looking for some more help
