[TYPO3-english] vge_tagcloud: excluding subtrees

Hi all
I'm looking for a  way to exclude one or more subtrees from vge_tagcloud 
indexing. I'd like to avoid the extension to look for tags into some 
pages and their subpages at any level.
I looked at the "exclude" configuration property, but could not find a 
way to combine it with the rootline of the pages.
Any hints?
