[TYPO3-english] Problem - FE showing only resized images from typo3temp

Greetings,

I
finished designing a TYPO3 website on my windows server and everything
went well. However, when I moved the website to Linux server the images
and pictures on my website started to look smaller (half their original
size) , they became like a compressed copy of
the original ones.

I checked and saw that TYPO3 (on the Linux server) is getting the resized images from typo3temp/pics instead of uploads/pics folder which was the case when it was on windows server. 

I
tried to upload the pictures again from my computer to the server but I
keep getting the same problem. any ideas why this is happening ? and
why is TYPO3 getting the resized pictures now from typo3temo/pics folder
instead of the original pictures from uploads/pics folder ?

note: I didn't use imagemagick on both servers from the beginning
