[TYPO3-english] Upgraded from 3.8 to 4.2 and get not content output

Hi Callum,
check your root page has the "root of website" checked, (under "options"
tabs in page properties)

and check you root page contains a template that clears all setup and
constants (template for a new site)

sorry, this is only basic check, i don't know what is your TYPO3 level !
