[TYPO3-english] TYPO3 Upgrade Issue

Hi all

I've been trying to upgrade from v4.0 to 4.2 but am having problems
importing data. I have to setup the new 4.2 installation on a test server
for testing and change control purposes so cannot follow the upgrade
process as stated in the documentation. Would like to know if anyone has
done this before and the procedure they followed in order to import the
data(pages & content)
