[TYPO3-english] Multiple sites in TYPO3

Let's say a friend of you had to create a document for project X. But he 
does not know how to instantiate a new document. You create it for him. 
Now he has some additional information for project X, it's natural that 
he enhances his existing document. But if he has to manage project Y, 
should he reuse the same document [*] (because he does not know how to 
create a new one) and put some blank pages between them or ask you to 
create a new document?

The same applies to TYPO3. You customer wants 3-5 more websites. Have 
those future website something in common with the existing one? Will 
they have the same template? A need to share/link pages? Are they 
subdomains of the existing domains? Translations of the existing 
website? If yes, then reusing the same configured website seems the best 
option.

Otherwise, is it so complicated to set up a new "clean" website? I guess 
no...

[*] I used to know someone who did that actually...
