it might be an old Version, but the core of information is still valid. I 
confirm that it is difficult for newbies to find the correct place as the 
Layout of TYPO3-BE has changed a lot. Expirienced TYPO3-users know about 
the layout-differences and can concentrate on the core-knowledge of those 
tutorials.

you may download the mastertemplate and the small tutorial from 
http://ug.typo3-nrw.de/mastertemplate.html
the page is from a local usergroup in germany.

as there is an updated version of the template, the manual is still the 
first version. in german and in english. For start download the first 
version and read the manual. later on please use the latest version.
