Not "real url" but "realurl". You are not "Ste phen", right? :)

This is on the archive pages I think.

I know about this problem but there is nothing that RealURL can do here. This is how tt_news asks it to generate the links. REalURL just takes a variable after variable and processed it. So if tt_news asked to encode both "archive" and "category", RealURL does that.

I had the same problem in my blog. tt_news links resulted in /article/my-article-title/category/typo3.html. Bad stuff but it solely tt_news responsibility.

Use fixedPostVars for the single view page. You will get rid of the "article" segment.

It is correct from RealURL point of view. The problem is not in RealURL. It always produces what it was asked to make by tt_news.
