Only classes of inline elements appear in that menu.

Or are you saying that the menu contains items that are not defined in
the CSS file? In that case, check if the items are defined in the RTE
configuration (see Info module -> (root) page -> Page TSconfig -> RTE
branch).

No. What you set in the configuration is what the RTE uses.

> Is there documentation?

Sure. The one that comes with the extension. Grab it through the
Extension Manager. Btw, you are using "rtehtmlarea" and not some other
RTE, right?
