Hi Bernd,

If it is a matter of cost, it is sometimes helpful to point out that  
they will not be saving money by using a substandard host. They will  
spend more money on workarounds than the difference between hosts.

Take for example the case of IM & GM, without those applications they  
will need to adjust all their images by hand. They have to factor in  
their labor costs for that.

Personally, my experience is that if the difference of a few euros per  
month is bothersome to them then generally they are not prepared to  
properly pay for development either.

You are correct that sometimes clients can be stubborn in such things.  
But be careful, as if they continue to be stubborn after being being  
faced with reality on this then they will be unrealistic in other  
areas as well. Unrealistic clients equate to higher stress and lower  
profit for the developer.
