[TYPO3-english] Problem with upgrade from 4.0.4 to 4.2.1

Hi all,

I have this interesting problem I'm in the progres of upgrading a site 
from 4.0.4 to 4.2.1 and while I can see that Typo3 is updated and is 
using correct source the backend is stil controlled through alt_main.php 
instead of backend.php.

How and where can I change that ?
And is it changeable ?
