[TYPO3-english] mnogosearch: compiling + installing search engine no /opt/ directory created?

hello

eager to find a way around indexed_search, crawler and co. i began the 
preparation for the intallation of mnogosearch.

being a non-professional on UNIX and DB i followed your very clear 
manual - thanks for that anyway, it's an incredible exception in the 
typo3 community and deserves a medal for that alone.

so i made all preparation as described in the manual, chapter "compiling 
and installing search engine".

everything went without any problems until i tried to find the directory 
/opt/mnogosearch (manual page 14).
i just couldn't find it anywhere.

instead there was an error message:

since the message is not clear at all i ask in this newsgroup what it 
could mean?
