[TYPO3-english] realurl on a website with several rootpage templates

Hi list,

i maintain a typo3 project which i did not set up.

Due to various html templates the original integrators set up several 
rootlevel templates instead of one.

The site structure is like

Home page
- folder1 (with rootlevel template)
   - subpages
- folder2 (with rootlevel template)
   - subpages

The project is still one single website.

I expected the following url structure: www.domain.tld/folder1/subpage/

But i get: www.domain.tld/subpage/ even when i assign a path segment to 
the sysfolder in the page properties.

I think this is caused by the rootlevel template inside the sysfolder.

So, what can I do?

Do I have to rebuild the Website to run realurl correctly?
(I would like to, but I need to convince the customer)
