[TYPO3] URLs without "http://"

Hi, 

when I write a certain link inside a text content element through the
BE, the URL doesn't show "http://" in the FE. Why could this happen?

For example, if I use:
  
<a href="http://www.google.com">http://www.google.com</a>

In the FE I only can see "www.google.com" (without "http://")
