Hey Jan,

so basically you want an extra processing when an administrator edits a 
(FE user) record with TCEFORMs and saves it? Have a look at TCEmain, the 
transferdata class and the TCEForm class. I know e.g. that the tagpack 
extension does some magic when data is pulled from the DB and changed 
before its stored in the data.

Don't know so much about docs, but the sources of these files will 
probably help you.
