[TYPO3-english] Script Start

Our pages are taking a long time to load, even when cached.

Looking on the admin panel, under TypoScript I see that the first line, 
labeled "Script Start" takes the longest to load - sometimes up to 5 
seconds. Is it an indication of something that's wrong with the setup? I 
know the site is connected to a slow DB, but otherwise the server is fast.
