Did you solved the problem:
"b) wher I choose 'News' and then select the page containing records, 
the wizards switches to the 'Page' tabs and don't show ant news record."

I have the same problem

using TYPO3 vers. 4.2.3, php 5+ AND DAM (I think DAM makes trouble)
