What the javascript link I gave you does, is similar to clicking the
back button on your browser. So if the previous page was a search
result, that's what you'll see. (At least I just tried that by clicking
the back button after going from an indexed search result list to one of
the results and it worked fine.)

Of course if the current page is the first page visited in that browser
window/tab the link won't do anything, and you just came from another
website, you'll go back to that other site.
