[TYPO3] assigning Post/Get Vars to a constant?

I'm passing in from my query string

index.php?id=848&keyword=8

How do I assign that to a constant so that I can use said constant  
later as a variable

In Constants I'm trying things like:

leaderboard_ad_zone = GPvar:keyword

or

leaderboard_ad_zone = {GPvar:keyword}

none of which work.

It my TScript Setup I have (this is just a small piece of it):

document.write(&zoneid={$leaderboard_ad_zone}
