[TYPO3] kb_tv_cont_slide not showing anything

Hello,

In my page template I have a field called content (notice there is no field_ prefix this is not a typo).
I've installed the extension. During installation I received an error message because my php version is 5.2.5 but in the TER it states "Now works with new TYPO3 versions and PHP5." so I ignored this message.

I inserted these two lines according to the docs:

Not only is there no sliding of content elements but there is nothing shown even on the pages containing the original content.

What did I do wrong?
