This might seem like a silly suggestion, but you did send temp.info into a  
rendered object, didn't you? Just the code on that page alone won't give  
you any frontpage output...

EG:

page.10 = TEXT
page.10 < temp.info

Sorry if you have already, but from your original post it was unclear if  
you just copied that example verbatim.
