concurrency problem with the cache cleaning process on typo3.

I don't have anything specific, on typo3 that is, set up for cache handling,
so it behaves the way an out-of-the-box installation would.

The problem seems to be that the 3 webservers try to clean and refill the
caches at the same time, and that brings the servers down.

What would be the best way of handling this concurrency problem? or is it a
problem that shouldn't be there?
