[TYPO3] event database advice request

Hi,

I have a request for advice for setting up a booking system for first aid  
courses run nationwide in New Zealand.

There are about 60 training centres in about 50 towns, they offer up to 6  
national standard courses. The same courses are run for the same price  
nationwide.

To make it easy for end-users, I want them to be able to use a NZ map  
imagemap to click on the location of the course first before booking the  
course. I've already built the imagemaps I need using mw_imagemap.

I want end users to be able to book courses online, I want the number of  
bookings to be managed online. The country is divided up into 6 regions,  
so there will be 6 logons for staff to manage the courses.

The events database extension (rlmp_eventdb) seems to be my only option.  
It is a good extension, and I like how we will be able to set up an online  
payment system, as this is definitely planned down the track. However I'm  
having trouble with some of the limitations...

- the courses are pretty regularly 2-weekly but the only repeat option is  
weekly
- the big one is that the list plugin can only filter by category, not by  
location. This means I may have to set up 50 plugins for each of the  
clickable locations, with 50 system folders. It's either that or set up  
categories for each town (50) and each course (6) - 300 categories! Either  
way sounds more labour-intensive than necessary.

If there is anyone here with experience in this kind of thing I would  
appreciate your advice!
