[TYPO3] tt_news template

Hi
I'm going letterally crazy on try to personalize the tt_news template.
I've followed the tutorial, removing from the statics include and insert
the plugin.tt_news.templateFile = fileadmin/...
on my constant TS.
This did not worked.
I was able to use my own template including in the FlexF plugin options 
template field.
Even though I was able to include my temlate, I cannot make changes to 
the css...everytime I have to remove the files, clear the cache, include 
the new file, etc...
Is this the right procedure? should I include the css in the TS to 
manage the changes better?
