If I copy'n'paste from a source, and that source includes the Danish æ ø
å characters, and then save the aforementioned locallang.xml file in
Quixplorer, when I try to view the extension in the FE that makes use of
this locallang file, I get an error, for example:
The file
"/var/www/vhosts/*******.dk/httpdocs/typo3conf/ext/sr_email_subscribe/pi1/dk.locallang.xml"
is no TYPO3 language file!
However, if I paste the copied data directly into a text editor (in my
case Dreamweaver) and then FTP the file up to the server, it works fine.
Obviously, when subsequently editing the file in Quixplorer, the UTF8
entities are converted to for example Ã¥ = å
The only difference that I can think of, is that when saving the file in
Dreamweaver, it saves it and encodes it as a UTF8 file, whereas
Quixplorer doesn't.
But I could be wrong...
