a TYPO3 way to recover deleted pages:
install kj_recycler extension.
http://typo3.org/extensions/repository/view/kj_recycler/3.2.0/

useful, if you don't have no clue to differentiate between accidently
and purposedly deleted items.

browse the deleted pages, content elements, etc. and select item to
recover individually.
