[TYPO3] Text hidden when using rgsmoothgallery in text w/ images

The text portion of the content is not generated when rgsmoothgallery is 
activated in a "Text with Images" content element.

TYPO3 4.1.6
rgsmoothgallery 1.4.0

The same happens with rgslideshow 1.4.0

Has anyone found a solution to this?
