I can see at least one good reason to request for real names. If you
sign something with your real name you try to make it as good as possible.

This applies to question/post as well.

Anonymity allows people to post fast, bad formulated question, with no
documentation reading, no google search - no respect for time of other
people. "What for to read? I will try if they will answer my question.
If not I will read/search then". With real names one can fear to ask too
simple question.

Of course not all post with lack of real names are like that but this is
general true. Anonymity promote "easy and fast" posts.

I like this list, read all the posts and trying to help because really
trivial questions are very seldom here. Good reason for this may be that
it requires newsreader to post here. One can argue but (as for me) it is
very good that real beginners have difficulties to get here. If they
have problems with installing and configuring newsreader then TYPO3 is
for sure not for them. Other reason for high quality posts at this list
may be that more than 80% of people who post here are using their real
names already.

Telling you real name is not a requirement to get answer at this list
but it would be reasonable to inform those people gently that the
chances to get answer are higher if they will use their real names.
