[TYPO3] HTMLarea not using specified stylesheet

We use IE so that's not the issue, I have the config exactly as you have
written (obviously with the path to my own stylesheet)

Hi
Sometimes it is a caching Problem from Firefox. If you use Firefox try for
this time IE.
This should work:
RTE.default.contentCSS = fileadmin/templates/rte_formate.css
