[TYPO3] timtab does not appear

hei,

after installing timtab it was working properly for a while, but then 
it disappeared and it does not wanna show up on the frontend. if i look 
at the page containing the tt_news content element i can see this:

	<!--  CONTENT ELEMENT, uid:36/list [begin] -->

		<a id="c36"></a>
		<!--  Plugin inserted: [begin] -->

		<!--  Plugin inserted: [end] -->

	<!--  CONTENT ELEMENT, uid:36/list [end] -->

so it is pretty empty.
if you have an idea how to debug, please let me know.
