[TYPO3] Disabling content types

The only thing relevant here is Page Type, which I can control both through
TS and through the Group Editor. What I'm not seeing is how to limit
*content* types.

you post a lot of question which have been asked a thousand times and
are explained very well in the available documentation ;-)

Read the documentation [1] and have a look at the configuration of the
section 'Explicitly allow/deny field values' whithin the be_groups
editing form.
