[TYPO3] sr_feuser_register - useEmailAsUsername - editing is not possible

hi list, 
anybody knows why in the new version of sr_feuser_register it's no longer possible to show or edit email?

I dont get this concept. If useEmailAsUsername is enabled the Email address itself cannot be shown and edited (but the values are shown in the hidden fields).

when i use email as username it still should be possible to edit the eMail address.
