[TYPO3] problem with sr_feuser_register & static_info_tables

Hi,

I have created a site that allows fronted users to register and to edit
his/her data. The register form includes country and zone from
static_info_tables, depending of the country selected another selectbox
is displayed with the zones inside that country (the usual
functionality...). All work fine in the register process. The problem is
when the user tries to edit his/her data. The country selectbox is
displayed correctly but when you try to make changes on it (it has a
internally a javascript submit function that calls again the same page)
the page is reloaded but showing the same country. So there is no
possibility to change the country once that user has filled it in the
register process.
I have been making lots of differents configurations, read different
documentation with no positive results.
I have the last version of typo3, sr_feuser_register and
static_info_tables.
Have anyone some idea about the problem? 
Has anyone got it work with any combination of typo3 version and
extensions? If so I can go on with the research because maybe it is a
missing feature.
