[TYPO3] TinyRTE - Paragraphs and Line Breaks

I am taking another look at TinyRTE because htmlarea doesn't work in
FireFox. Having thought about it, without it being fixed in a new Typo3
version, I won't be able to use htmlarea in present or future websites
because it is in the protected Typo3 folder and so can not be modified.

One of the big issues with TinyRTE is getting p and br tags to work. Is
it possible to do the standard RETURN for a paragraph and SHIFT + RETURN
for a linebreak? 

I know a lot of our users would not like to have to select text and then
choose 'Paragraph' from the --format-- dropdown selection box.
