[TYPO3] HELP-The requested page does not exist!

Hello, I'm a newbie and need a little help. I've just installed TYPO3 and can access the backend and have made some test pages. The problem is that when I click 'show' page I keep getting the error massage =

"The requested page does not exist!"

I'm not quite sure what it is but I'm sure it's something simple that I'm not doing. If someone could contact me I'b be happy to give you backend access to take a look.
