[TYPO3] all fileadmin subdirectories inactive in "RTE link" popup

Hi there

I'm using 4.1 RC and I've just been notified by editors that when linking  
 from RTE to file, all directories in Fileadmin tree are greyed out. It  
means, that I cannot click on them, hence no way to see their content  
UNLESS they have subdirectories - then I can expand them and see their  
content and click on the files to use them as link target.
So, the workaround is to add subdirectory to each directory and instead of  
clicking on them expand them.

Does anybody know what makes a directory inaccessible in this popup?
I've checked other T3 installation - it looks ok there and only TEMP  
directory is inaccessible. So there must be some mechanism to  
differentiate between good and bad directories. Maybe it's just a bug in  
RC 4.1? I can't upgrade at the moment since it's a big production site.
