[TYPO3] languages don't work

Make sure that you have the languages (Web->list click the very root of the
tree), check IDs (title of icon in front of the language name)

Did you set the config.sys_language_uid correctly?

Default language version is shown when the translation is not available as
well, check if transalted content is created
