What are these tables then:
   tx_pbsurvey_answers
   tx_pbsurvey_results

I ran a survey with pbsurvey and all data is in tx_pbsurvey_answers and 
tx_pbsurvey_results.  Maybe you were using an older version?

I haven't tried it but it looks like you can have the pbsurvey require a 
frontend login and it associatiates it with the frontend user.  No 
unique link generation that I saw.
