[TYPO3] CoolUri & SQL engine parse ERROR

I've read the wiki http://wiki.typo3.org/index.php/UTF-8_support.
It was everything fine except for two points: The point above and

SET character_set_connection = utf8.

I can't read it in the wiki. Can i delete it too?
