[TYPO3] greenstone digital library extension

Hi,

has anyone by a chance ever heard of somebody trying to create a typo3 
extension for the free digital library system greenstone 
(http://www.greenstone.org)? 
I'm trying to implement a website for our organization (http://www.docip.org, 
still the old site) as my first typo3 work and integrating a greenstone 
library. The typo3 site will be multilingual, and greenstone is at the moment 
integrated in a rather poor iframe manner. If anyone is interested in this
