[TYPO3] Ext manager: importing extensions

Hi,

When I click the retrieve/update button in the extension manager in the 
BE, I get a message like "The extensions list has been updated and now 
contains 2141 extension entries.". But when I click the 'look up' 
button, I only get a list of about 100 extensions. There are also no 
results when I look up a specific extension.

Do you have any suggestions on what (I) might be (doing) wrong?
