[TYPO3] Indexed search in multilingual text

Hello list,

I have a multilingual text (mix of Latin, Unicode and
others) on some pages. The site is not multilingual
and
the default language is English. Using indexed search
I
can search only with words typed in Latin. Any idea
why?
