[TYPO3] Showing different content element according to domain subfolder

Hi there,

+++  I sent this last week but didn't get any replies, just wondering if
it's even possible +++

I wonder if anyone can advise of where I should start here.

I have a user with a travel information site who wants to be able to allow
other travel advisors to make use of their site content.  So for example,
http://www.domainname.com/ is obviously the top site but users will be
able to advertise as http://www.domainname.com/site1/

The subfolder /site1/ will provide exactly the same content except for the
contact record which will show the individuals own information.

I plan to have one contact page and a list of records which hold the
individual address records.

My question is how do I tell typo3 to select the content element (record)
based on the subfolder entered in the address bar?  I'm not looking for a
complete answer, I just want to know where to start looking.  The site
currently uses the realurl plugin.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
