[TYPO3] problem with cal categories

Hi there

I have been using the cal extension, it is very good

But, i have included the category list to be shown, but there are no
categories being shown

Has anyone had a similar problem and is there  a fix?

how can i search the online archives of th ecal news group, i cant find it

news://news.netfielders.de/typo3.projects.calendar

i have added this to my reader, and i can view some recent posts, but i cant
search old posts, and it wont let me post to it for some reason
