[TYPO3] Show restricted pages in menu and redirect to login page when selected

Hi Jake,
You could of course restrict only the contents of the pages not the
actual page. But this depends on how much pages and content elements
there are and how much there will be. With only few one could do it this
way easily, but very annoying with many pages+contents.

Now, if a user were to click on one of the restricted menu items, I want the login page to come up, telling them that the item they have selected requires them to register as a user.
