[TYPO3] kb_shop error renders site unuseable

Hi,

In my search for a suitable Shop extension that is flexible I am
trying to install and configure the extension kb_shop but have
experienced a very odd error which renders the FE and BE of the site
unuseable.

I am using a fresh install of Typo3 from WEC which is using Typo3
4.0.4 and I am installing the latest version of kb_shop from TER -
v0.1.0

The following is what I have reproduced on multiple attempts to
install and configure the extension:

1. Set up sysfolders for Categories and Properties
2. Install kb_shop through the extension manager

NOTE - at this stage the file ext_section_tables.php exists in
typorconf/ext/kb_shop/

3. Set PID of sysfolders for Categories and properties in the config
of the extension in the extension manager and press update.
4. Refresh the browser so that the 'Shop Wizard' appears under the
tolls in the BE
5. Click on Shop Wizard -> Clear Cache
6. Click on ANY option in the BE and I get the following errors:

The FE of the website shows the same errors.

When I check the file ext_section_tables.php NO LONGER EXISTS in
typorconf/ext/kb_shop/

I have manually copied the file ext_section_tables.php into the
directory, but each time I click on Shop Wizard -> Update Cache it is
deleted!

I have replicated this error on both a linux installation of Typo3 and
a windows installation.

It appears that this is an error with this extension.
