[TYPO3] show last created tt_news article

Hi Dave,

I think there is TS code to choose the default news to display in single
view.

What I do though, is to have a news page with a latest news list plug-in
and then I create a 'not in menu' page with a single news plug-in on it.
Then in the latest news plug-in I setup the "PageId for single news
display" field of the latest news plug-in to point to the single news
page.

is there a way to configure a list or latest view in tt_news so that
it shows the last created ttnews article?

I need this feature to override the archive setting, and show the last
article regardless of its date, because my site looks too bare when it
constantly says no news in this list.
